CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) -- Although no longer South Carolina's first lady, Jenny Sanford will host the annual First Lady's Easter Egg hunt next week in Columbia.

Sanford's divorce from Gov. Mark Sanford was finalized Thursday.

Jenny Sanford tells The Associated Press that the position of first lady is voluntary and from time to time in the coming months she will still continue traditions she has had in the past.

She says one of them is the egg hunt. Children between 3 and 8 who were hospitalized during the past year are invited to the event Monday at the Governors Mansion.

Gubernatorial spokesman Ben Fox says the event is a tradition that all parties involved think is worth continuing.
