GREENVILLE COUNTY, SC (AP) -- Authorities say a 70-year-old South Carolina man has died in his single-seat ultralight aircraft.
The Greenville News reports the aircraft crashed in a pasture after taking off from a homemade airstrip.
Greenville County deputy coroner Kent Dill says Charles Austin Keeler of Mauldin died at the scene.
Sheriff's Sgt. Richard Lane says a witness reported the crash about 2 p.m. Saturday. The witness said the ultralight's engine stalled after about five minutes in the air.
Lane said it's not yet known whether the crash killed Keeler or if he had a medical problem while aloft.
