GOOSE CREEK, S.C. (AP) -- A 17-year-old girl and a 20-year-old man have died in a wreck in South Carolina's Lowcountry.
Berkeley County Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Salisbury says the wreck happened about 8:30 p.m. Thursday at an intersection on U.S. Highway 52 in Goose Creek.
Salisbury says 17-year-old Brandy Roseberry of Elloree died at the scene.
He says 20-year-old Benjamin Cook of Vance died early Friday at the Medical University of South Carolina hospital in Charleston.
Salisbury told The Post and Courier of Charleston that Cook was driving a car that collided with a truck at an intersection. Salisbury said Roseberry was in the car and was not wearing a seat belt.
There was no immediate word on the condition of the truck driver.
