A 55-year-old man was arrested after a month-long investigation into possible sexual abuse of children who attended a Fairfield County day care.
Authorities began their investigation of Michael D. Williams on September 15.
The investigation found that on numerous occasions Williams touched several children at the Park Drive day care inappropriately.
The home-based day care was run by Dorothy Williams.
Williams was arrested and charged with two counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor first degree and five counts of lewd acts on a minor.
Williams is being held in the Fairfield County Detention Center.
Fairfield County authorities will continue the investigation.
