RICHLAND CO. (WACH)--An overnight burglary and assault has lead to one man in custody.

Richland County Sheriff's Department Spokesman Curtis Wilson said shortly after 3 a.m. Sunday morning, the department responded to a burglary at the 200 block of Greenfield Road. Once they arrived, the victim stated that her ex-boyfriend, Ryan Conyers, 27, broke in through a window.

The victim said upon entering, Conyers began assaulting another man in the house with the victim with a frying pan. That victim was taken to a local hospital by EMS with non-life threatening injuries.

Conyers was arrested and is charged with burglary and aggravated assault.
