COLUMBIA (WACH)-- The City of Columbia’s Animal Shelter is raising money to help pay the medical expenses of two dogs that were injured in a car crash on I-26 last Tuesday.

Junior and Leo’s injuries range from bruises and cuts to a badly broken leg.

The dogs’ owners were also hurt in the accident and have returned to Washington State. Shelter workers say they don’t have the money for all the medical expenses and to get the dogs back home.

The shelter is accepting donations to help the dogs.

If you’d like to donate send checks payable to:
The Animal Mission
Attn: Jr. and Leo
127 Humane Lane
Columbia, SC 29209.

You can also make donations via the Animal Mission’s website.
