Stephen Davis was arrested Wednesday.
COLUMBIA (WACH) - Former NFL running back Stephen Davis was arrested Wednesday and booked at the Lexington County Detention Center.
According to the South Carolina Department of Revenue, Davis was operating his Columbia nightclub "Pure" without a license. The agency said the license was revoked in July but the business continued to operate and make sales.
He will be in court Thursday morning for a bond hearing.
Davis, from Spartanburg, played at Auburn and for multiple teams in the NFL, including the Carolina Panthers. Earlier this year, he was inducted into the South Carolina Athletic Hall of Fame.
