COLUMBIA (WACH) - A man accused of performing a sex act on himself near the University of South Carolina campus has been arrested according to Columbia Police Chief Randy Scott.
Rasheed Armahd Jones, 37, is charged with indecent exposure.
Scott says the incident occurred around 1 p.m. Monday on College Street near Assembly Street in downtown Columbia.
A 21-year-old female witnessed the act, according to Scott. Jones was inside a vehicle at the time.
Scott says the woman called police to report the incident. Responding officers talked with Jones, found evidence related to the case, and arrested the suspect.
Jones was transported to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
