LORIS, S.C. (AP) -- Authorities say they charged a woman with neglect after finding her two children in a Loris hotel room with a dead body and drugs.

Horry County police said paramedics came to the hotel around 7 a.m. Wednesday and found 21-year-old Paul Tebeau dead. They also found marijuana, a crack pipe, cold medicine and unidentified white pills in the room.

Investigators say 29-year-old Belonda Davis also was in the room and said she saw Tebeau smoke marijuana, but didn't see him take any other drugs.

Tebeau's cause of death has not been released.

Davis was charged with unlawful neglect of a child after her two daughters, ages 11 and 13, were found in the room. She remains in the Horry County jail and it wasn't clear if she had a lawyer.
