COLUMBIA (WACH)--SC State University kicked off it's 2012 Fall Executive Speaker Series with the help of WACH Fox's Janet Parker and Fraendy Clervaud.

According to Dr. Ann Winstead, ESS director, "SC State University business students have much to look forward to this semester."

"The 2012 Fall ESS will provide opportunities for students to engage with speakers on topics that reflect the current business ventures," says Winstead. 

"We are also excited about our launch as we collaborate with units campus wide in providing opportunities across disciplines as well as the community at large." 

Wednesday afternoon, Janet and Fraendy presented on the topic: "Your Professional Image and Looking the Part"  in Belcher Hall’s fourth floor auditorium.   

A select group of students also had the chance to sit down in a roundtable discussion and pick Janet and Fraendy's brains on professionalism and business etiquette.

The series is in conjunction with a course sophomore,  junior and senior Business majors must complete in order to complete the program.

Additional topics for the fall 2012 ESS series include: "Corporate Communication Strategies," "How to Start An On-Line Business," "Leading in the 21st Century - A Personal Journey," "the Importance of Professional Image," "Business Ethics," "Consultancy - A Business Model," and The Impact of the Automotive Industry on Economic Recovery."
