CAMDEN (WACH) - The Camden Police Deparment is conducting an ongoing investigation involving a Lugoff man accused of hitting a pregnant teen in the stomach area with a car door.
According to an incident report released by the department, a 19-year-old woman, who says she is three months pregnant, told police that 27-year-old Johnny Ivory Johnson, Jr. hit her in the stomach area with the door of a vehicle during an argument.
Authorities say the victim claims Johnson is the father of her unborn child and does not want her to have the baby. She said she had been living with Johnson for two months, but Johnson has been harassing and following her.
The incident report says the responding officer saw the victim and Johnson arguing on Dekalb Street, but Johnson left in a small red vehicle before the officer could return to the scene.
Police report the victim said she was not in pain, but was going to the hospital. She believes Johnson intended to harm the unborn child.
