COLUMBIA (WACH)--The Midlands community came together Tuesday evening for a candlelight vigil for missing teen Gabbiee Swainson.

Hundreds of friends, classmates and parents in Lake Carolina attended a vigil to pray for the 15-year-old cheerleader's safe return home.

"We pray for Gabbiee every day, the whole football team prays for Gabbiee we just want her to come back home. Come home Gabbiee," said Malcolm Montgomery, a friend of Gabbiee's.

Gabbiee Swainson went missing from her mother's home in Northeast Columbia on August 18th.

Richland County deputies have arrested 52-year-old Freddie Grant in the case. Sheriff Leon Lott says Grant is a career criminal.

Lott is set to release new information about the case at a news conference Wednesday morning.

If you have any information that could help investigators find Gabbiee Swainson call Crimestoppers 1-888-CRIME-SC.
