COLUMBIA (WACH)-South Carolina Hispanic Outreach once again is celebrating the culture and vitality of the Midlands Latin community with the annual Main Street Latin Festival, September 1 and 2.

The weekend of events starts on Saturday night with the kickoff party at the Columbia Marriott Downtown on Saturday, starting at 10:00pm, offering live entertainment and celebration.  Admission for the party is $10.00.

On Sunday, Main Street will be filled with salsa, meringue, reggaeton and more.  The free family-friendly event starts at 11:00am, and is free.  Sunday’s event includes children’s rides, vendors, authentic Latin food, live entertainment and more.

According to the event organizer, Genaro Padilla, 10,000 people are expected throughout the day.
