HONEA PATH, S.C. (AP) -- Officials say a 3-month-old girl has been found dead in bed with her mother.

Anderson County Coroner Greg Shore said Collins Bradshaw Black died of asphyxia around 4 a.m. Friday while sleeping in the same bed with her 21-month-old brother and their mother, Amy Stover Black.

Shore said Amy Black put her son and daughter in bed with her Thursday night while her husband worked the night shift.

When Joshua Black returned home, Shore said the man found the girl under his wife.

The 21-month-old was not hurt.

An autopsy performed Friday determined that the infant's death was accidental.

According to Shore, at least eight young children have died in Anderson County in 2012.

He said six of those have involved babies dying in their parents' beds.
