ORANGEBURG, S.C. (AP) -- A 1-month-old North Carolina infant has become the third victim of a sports utility vehicle crash on Interstate 26 in South Carolina.

The Times and Democrat of Orangeburg reports that Calhoun County Coroner Donnie Porth said Donte Trevell Turnipseed-Sturdivant died over the weekend from injuries in the crash last Thursday. The infant had been born June 20th.

Thirty-five-year-old Tresy Sheron Crowder of Charlotte, N.C., and 27-year-old Sharhonda Turnipseed of Monroe, N.C., were also killed in the crash.

The wreck happened when their SUV went off the side of the highway and overturned.

There were eight people in the SUV when it crashed. The other five were taken to area hospitals.
