LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC (WACH) - A five-month undercover investigation by the Lexington County Multi-Agency Narcotics Enforcement Team (NET) has resulted in the arrstes of 12 people on various drug charges.

Sheriff James R. Metts says deputies arrested Treshawn Alexander, 17 of West Columbia; Curley Brooks, Jr., 35, of West Columbia; Beverly Mitchell Langston, 55, of West Columbia; Rae Lynn McCraw, 44, of Swansea; Dwayne Anthony Barton, 39, of St. Matthews; Tiffany Ann Chavis, 24, of Swansea; Michael Lee Gantt, 27, of Gaston; Sanford Moore Gilliam, 44, of West Columbia; Cassandra Mack, 50, of West Columbia; James Richarg Padget, 47, of Gaston; Douglas Arthur Skaggs, 51, of West Columbia; Kenneth Tyrone Williams, 46, of Gaston. The 12 individuals were arrested on various drug charges.

Authorities are continuing the investigation concerning illegal sales and purchases of crack cocaine at a West Columbia home, and Metts says NET officers might arrest more people.

According to Metts, NET officers found a sawed-off, 12 gauge shotgun in the West Columbia home on Colony Park Lane. Officers observed as many as 30 motor vehicles in one hour drive up to the home in order to buy crack cocaine.
