MANNING, S.C. (AP) -- A 45-year-old South Carolina man has died after a night-time hit-and-run on Interstate 95 in Clarendon County.

The Sumter Item reported that George Albert Ross Jr. of Manning was struck and killed while walking along on I-95 early Tuesday.

Deputy Coroner Charles Jackson said Ross was wearing dark clothing.

Highway Patrol Cpl. Bob Beres says authorities are looking for either a dark red Ford F-150 truck or a Ford Expedition with a honeycomb grill. The patrol says the vehicle might be damaged on its center or right front.
