RICHLAND COUNTY, SC (WACH) - The Richland County Sheriff's Department hopes the community can help them identify a suspect accused of breaking into a vehicle near St. Andrews and stealing items.
Sheriff Leon Lott says that between 6 p.m. Sunday, May 27 and 8 a.m. Monday, May 28 someone broke into a black 1988 Dodge Durango on Longcreek Drive and stold a credit card, a silver Bulova watch, and a wallet.
The victim told the sheriff's department that the stolen credit card was used to make purchases at the Exxon gas station at I-20 and Broad River Road on Monday, May 28 around 8:40 a.m.
Surveillance photos released by authorities of an initial possible suspect in the crime making a purchase at the Exxon gas station have been recalled. The individual in the photos was ruled out by the department as a suspect in this crime.
