COLUMBIA (WACH) - It’s off to Charlotte for the 2012 Palmetto Idol champion.

Kristen Williams beat out more than 30 contestants in the competition Thursday at Dutch Square Mall in Columbia.

She wowed the audience and the judges with her version of Beyonce’s “Love on Top.”

Along with bragging rights, Williams wins a guaranteed audition with American Idol producers and a one night stay in Charlotte on Tuesday, June 19.
