MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) -- Runoffs are next in several South Carolina primaries, including the state's new 7th Congressional District.

Voters on Tuesday narrowed the field of Republican candidates for the new district to former Lt. Gov. Andre Bauer and Horry County Council Chairman Tom Rice, who will face off in a June 26 runoff.

The winner will face Coastal Carolina University economist Gloria Tinubu, who claimed the Democratic nomination. But state Democratic Party officials were scrambling to determine if a runoff should be held involving Horry County attorney Preston Brittain.

Tinubu received 52 percent of the vote after the State Election Commission ruled that votes for state Rep. Ted Vick would not be counted because he withdrew several weeks ago.

Runoffs were also set for two state Senate races and one state House race.
