COLUMBIA (WACH) - The Columbia Police Department is investigating a strong arm robbery that occurred at a dry cleaning business Monday afternoon.

Chief Randy Scott says the crime occurred around 1 p.m. Monday at Columbia's Cleaners on Garners Ferry Road.

Two suspects are accused of entering the store, demanding money and taking money before getting away, according to Scott. One employee was pushed to the floor during the incident, but did not suffer any serious injuries.

The department does not believe any weapons were used or threatened to be used during the robbery. The suspects may have escaped in a getaway car after running out of the business

Surveillance video is being reviewed by authorities.
