COLUMBIA (WACH) - Suspects that stole approximately $20,000 in motor vehicle parts or accessories are wanted by the Richland County Sheriff's Department.
Sheriff Leon Lott says deputies responded to a theft from motor vehicle call at the Thermo King on Shop Road around 2 a.m. Sunday.
The suspects cut a hole in a fence to enter the property between 9 p.m. Saturday, June 2, and 2 a.m. Sunday, June 3, according to Lott.
Surveillance video captured what the department believes to be the suspects and suspect vehicles driving around the business. Two vehicles, a white Ford Ranger and a larger unknown truck, may have been used in the crime.
Lott says the suspects stole twenty Michelin X-One XDA Energy 445/50R22.5 tires with chrome rims from seven freightliner tractors.
