Cops: Suspect took money from register, fled the scene

AIKEN, SC (WACH) - Investigators with Aiken Department of Public Safety are working to identify a suspect in a strong armed robbery that occurred Wednseday night.

Captain David Turno says the suspect grabbed money from a register at the Kagaroo Express on York Street around 10:40 p.m. Wednesday then fled the scene. 

The department describes the suspect as a male between 20 and 40 years of age, who is around 5-foot-10 and approximately 180 pounds.

Anyone with information is acked to call CrimeStoppers at 1-999-Crime-SC.

According to Turno, callers can remain anonymous and be eligible for a cash reward of between $50 and $1,000.
