COLUMBIA S.C. (WACH) – Columbia police have arrested a Lexington man accused of being involved in an early morning hit-and-run accident in Five Points.

Justin McGlamry, 21, faces multiple charges in the incident that injured two people.  Authorities say it happened around 3 AM Friday at the intersection of Harden and Greene Streets.

Columbia police spokeswoman Jennifer Timmons says a man and woman crossing the street were hit by a red Camaro, and the car kept on going. The man suffered minor injuries, while the female victim required surgery on her leg.

A surveillance video image released by Columbia police appears to show the car hitting a man.

McGlamry is charged with disregarding a traffic signal, and two counts of hit and run with personal injury.

McGlamry is being held in the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
