Batesburg-Leesville, SC (WACH) - The Leesville man accused of shooting his girlfriend, then turning the gun on himself, left a chilling facebook message only hours before the incident took place.

27-year-old Jamael Goodman posted "Ima set an example for people round here today #NothinToLose" on his personal page around 9:00 Monday morning.  It was around the same time that Goodman's girlfriend, 30-year-old Shaquanah Jones-Brannon, filed preliminay paperwork for a restraining order against him, according to the Batesburg-Leesville Police Department.

According to the department, Jones-Brannon was urged not to go to work. She told them that she needed to go in. They also say that Goodman changed his appearance by wearing a hat to hide his dreadlocks. He also drove a different car than what was reported to the restaurant.

Police say around 11 a.m. Goodman went to the China 1 Buffet and shot and killed Jones-Brannon before turning the gun on himself. Jones-Brannon was found in the kitchen and Goodman was found in front of the restaurant.

Jones-Brannon and Goodman were pronounced dead at a local hospital, according to Coroner Harry O. Harman.

An undisclosed number of people were in the restaurant at the time of the shooting.

The investigation is ongoing.
