According to a spokesman with the sheriff's department, David Forbes was caught and arrested.
EASTOVER, SC (WACH) - One man has been arrested and at least two suspects are on the run after attempting to rob a bar in Eastover early Friday morning, according to the Richland County Sheriff's Department.
Just after 4 a.m. Friday, the suspects broke into O'Kelly's bar on Garners Ferry Road in Eastover, according to the department.
One of the owner's of the establishment, Loretta Gray, says a back wall of the business was busted out, as well as a wall leading to the liquor area of the bar.
According to a spokesman with the sheriff's department, David Forbes was caught and arrested on several charges including failure to stop for a blue light, open container of beer or wine in motor vehicle, grand larceny, and burglary.
"I'm just glad no one was here and got hurt...They took the whole electrical system out, so we couldn't get any video. They cut the phone lines also," said Gray.
The department is working to identify and locate the other suspects involved.
A bond hearing was held for Forbes Friday afternoon. Bond was set at $15,000.
