COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- AAA Carolinas is getting members of the Dreher High School soccer team to show the dangers of texting while driving.

The group will set up a traffic cone course Wednesday afternoon at the Columbia school and members of the team will try to drive around the obstacles both while all their concentration is on their driving and while texting.

AAA Carolinas Traffic Safety Foundation President Tom Crosby says many drivers think texting while behind the wheel is dangerous, but they think they can do it without a problem.

Crosby says Wednesday's demonstration should show texting and driving is risky no matter how good someone thinks they are behind the wheel.
