COLUMBIA (WACH) - The collision of a dump truck and a moped sent at least one person to the hospital Thursday morning.

A spokesperson with the Columbia Police Department says a dump truck collided with a moped at the intersection of Harden Street and Rosewood Drive in Columbia around 10 a.m. Thursday.

According to the department, it appears the truck rear-ended the moped.

The moped driver was taken to the hospital, but the condition of the driver has not been released.

The status of the dump truck driver was not reported.

Officers are investigating the incident.
