LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC (WACH) - A home meth lab was seized near Batesburg Wednesday, according to the Lexington County Sheriff's Department.
Officers with the Lexington County Multi-Agency Narcotics Enforcement Team (NET) seized a clandestine methamphetamine laboratory that was being operated at a home on Fairview Road near Batesburg Wednesday.
Brian Christopher Bledsoe, 42, who owns the home, was arrested on charges of manufacturing methamphetamine, possessing methamphetamine, and possessing marijuana, according to Sheriff James R. Metts and NET officers.
Metts says NET officers received information on Wednesday that a clandestine methamphetamine laboratory was being opeared at Bledoe's home.
According to the department, Bledsoe was arrested after officers searched his home and found three mason jars that contained methamphetamine oil under the bathroom sink. They also found equipment that can be used to manufacture methamphetamine hidden in a compartment in a closet in Beldsoe's bedroom.
Metts says a small bag of methamphetamine was found along with a small bag of marijuana in Bledoe's dresser.
Bledsoe is awaiting a bond hearing at the Lexington County Detention Center.
