Robbery suspect captured on surveillance equipment

COLUMBIA (WACH) - Deputies with the Richland County Sheriff's Department are working to identify a robbery suspect.

According to Sheriff Leon Lott, the suspect approached the victim at a counter inside the business and demanded his money. The unknown suspect grabbed the victim's wrist and began punching him in the head and face with his first. Two other unknown suspects assisted the suspect in getting away.

The getaway vehicle is described as a white Lincoln SUV with South Carolina tag BKE-143.

Lott states investigators believe the suspect frequents the Rosewood Drive area.

Surveillance equipment captured the suspect in the store.

Anyone with information leading to an arrest could receive up to $1,000. Tips can be made anonymously to CrimeStoppers by calling 1-800-CRIME-SC.
