COLUMBIA (WACH) - The Richland County Sheriff's Department is looking for a suspect wanted for stealing a catalytic converter.

Deputies responded to a larceny call around 12:30 a.m. last Wednesday.

Sheriff Leon Lott says the suspect was captured on surveillance video stealing the catalytic converter from a 2000 Toyota 4Runner  in the parking lot of North East Auto on Two Notch Road.

The suspect caused approximately $2,000 in damage to the vehicle, according to Lott.

Anyone with information on the identity of the suspect or information about this crime can anonymously call CrimeStoppers at 1-800-CRIME-SC.
