GREER, S.C. (AP) -- Greer police officers who are married to each other have resigned from the force after a domestic argument escalated, and one of them was arrested.

Police Lt. Jim Holcombe said Frank and Tasha Crone quit the department on Monday.

Holcombe says other officers responded to the couple's home on March 30 after a neighbor complained about a woman yelling.

Officers said they found the Crones outside, and both had been drinking. Police said they felt the situation was under control and left, but an officer followed up on Saturday.

On Tuesday, Tasha Crone was booked and released on a charge of criminal domestic violence. It wasn't known if she had an attorney.
