COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- The art of living a virtuous life is the topic of a lecture and panel discussion at the University of South Carolina.

Krista Tippett, the host of National Public Radio's program, "Being," is joining a number of speakers for the panel discussion on Thursday. Speakers include USC religious studies scholar Erin Roberts, historian Adam Schor, and Brent Driggers of the Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary. The discussion is scheduled for 2 p.m. in Rutledge Chapel and is free and open to the public.

Tippett also delivers the annual Nadine Beacham and Charlton F. Hall lecture on the New Testament and Early Christianity at 7:30 p.m. at the university's Darla Moore School of Business. That event is also free and open to the public.
