FOLLY BEACH, S.C. (AP) -- Two people have died and six others were hurt in a two-car wreck at Folly Beach.

The wreck early Sunday afternoon closed the only road leading to the beach for about three hours Sunday afternoon.

The Charleston County coroner's office says both victims were from Folly Beach. They were 73-year-old James Minschew and 33-year-old Joshua Miller.

Folly Beach Public Safety Director Dennis Brown says six people were taken to hospitals. Their names and conditions were not available.

Brown says police are working with sheriff's deputies to determine the cause of the wreck.

Traffic was moving again around 4 p.m.
