COLUMBIA (WACH) – The No. 25 lady Gamecocks have hit the road to join the madness. The team left for West Lafayette, India Thursday afternoon for Saturday’s NCAA Tournament contest against Eastern Michigan.

It’s the team’s ninth NCAA Tournament appearance, but its first since 2003.

The players received quite a send-off from fans outside the Elephant Room entrance of Carolina Coliseum.

Tipoff in West Lafayette is set for 11 a.m. Saturday. The game will be broadcast on ESPN2.
