Swansea, SC (WACH)- A Monday afternoon accident leaves a Swansea woman dead.

The Lexington County Coroner’s Office is investigating a vehicle accident which occurred at approximately 3:41 PM on Monday, March 12, 2012, at the intersection of St. Matthews Road and Calvary Church Road, Swansea, SC. 

Victoria L. Snyder, 42, of Swansea was traveling southbound on Calvary Church Road when she ran the stop sign at the intersection and collided with a tractor-trailer traveling westbound on St. Matthews Road.  Ms. Snyder was entrapped in her vehicle and had to be pulled from the car.  She was pronounced dead at the scene from the injuries she received in the accident. An autopsy will be performed on Ms. Snyder on March 13, 2012.

The accident remains under investigation by the Coroner’s Office and South Carolina Highway Patrol.
