CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) -- A private Summerville school is denying new claims brought in a lawsuit by a former student who alleges he was abused by Louis ReVille.

ReVille was indicted last week on 22 felony counts of molesting young boys in the Charleston area.

The Post and Courier of Charleston reports a lawsuit alleges that Pinewood Prep earlier failed to protect the former student from ReVille.

An amended complaint alleges that the school ordered ReVille to seek counseling and ReVille promised not to spend time after school with students or allow them to visit his home. The school denies the claim.

ReVille is expected to stand trial in June. His attorney has said ReVille is sorry for the pain he caused. He's being held on $1 million bond.
