BEAUFORT, S.C. (AP) -- Authorities say a nude Marine who took a fire truck in Port Royal and hit six vehicles and killed a pedestrian last month was already facing federal charges.

The Beaufort Gazette reports 26-year-old Pvt. Kalvin Hunt of Sumter was charged by military police with trespassing and larceny in a Dec. 8 incident at the Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort.

Lt. Sharon Hyland said Hunt was not stationed at the base but was allowed on base with his military ID. She would not elaborate on the charges.

Hunt has been charged with murder and 10 other counts in the fire truck incident Feb. 24 that killed 28-year-old Justin Miller of Port Royal.

Hunt remains in the Beaufort County jail on $500,000 bond.
