COLUMBIA (WACH) -- USC Linebacker Angelo Watley is in jail. He’s charged with grand larceny, 2nd degree burglary and credit card theft.

Columbia Police Department spokesperson Jennifer Timmons says “police officers responded to a residence on Senate Street Sunday morning in reference to a possible burglary. When officers arrived two residents reported seeing the suspect in their home.”

Whatley is accused of stealing more than $2700 in goods, including a Mac Book, an iPad, and money.

He is being held in the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
