SALUDA, S.C. (AP) -- Authorities say two former guards at the Saluda County jail have been arrested after they gave prescription drugs and bought fast food for inmates.

Deputies said Wednesday that Pamela Warren and Rebecca Williams turned themselves in and have been charged with misconduct in office.

Sheriff Jason Booth says the woman bought inmates Big Mac sandwiches from McDonald's and gave them Valium as well as toiletries they weren't supposed to have.

It wasn't clear if either of the woman had attorneys.
