WEST COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- Marketing specialty foods is the focus of this year's meeting of the South Carolina Specialty Foods Association.

The session is being held Tuesday in West Columbia at the state Farmers Market complex.

The association has been around for almost two decades and, according to its Web site, has more than 130 members. The group works to help South Carolina farmers, producers and retailers expand their businesses with marketing programs and technical assistance.

Among the topics at the meeting are how to market specialty products and avoiding the top 10 mistakes made by specialty food marketers.
