GREENVILLE (AP)--The Greenville County coroner's office says a man and woman have died after they shot each other at a home in Greer.Police Lt. Jim Holcombe says officers were called to a home shortly after 9 a.m. Monday.
Deputy Coroner Kent Dill says a woman in the home was shot in the leg and was taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital where she died in surgery about an hour later. He says the victim was 32-year-old Tamika Yvette Weatherspoon of Greer.
Dill says a man also died of a gunshot wound. His name has not been released while officials search for relatives.
Holcombe says officers have not determined why they shot at each other.
Holcombe says there was a witness in the home who described what happened.
