COLUMBIA, S.C. (WACH) -- Successful professionals set an example for young women of the next generation.
Powerful Women Summits were held all over the Palmetto state Saturday and successful guests spoke to teen girls grade 7 through 12.
They were encouraged to attend the event and bring their friends.
Teens were asked to dress business professional, as if they were going to a job interview.
During the event teens had access to special guest speakers who rotated from table to table and answered questions.
Lee Morriss VP of Girl Scouts South Caroina Mountains to Midlands was at the summit held at the Capital City Club in Columbia.
"We think it's really important that girls have access to powerful women, and that they get to see and hear from women about what they did to get to where they are today," said Morriss.
