Richland County (WACH) - The weekend is off to a violent start in Richland County.

Richland County Sheriff's Deputy Curtis Wilson says a man is in serious condition after being stabbed in his Winyah Road home early Saturday morning.

Wilson says the victim got into an argument with the two suspects, when one of them pulled a knife and stabbed him twice.

Deputies are also investigating a shooting on 1726 Marley Drive that left a man in the hospital.

Wilson says the victim was checking his mail when someone tried to rob him.  He was shot in the lower body as he ran from the scene.

Anyone with information on these incidents is asked to call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC
