COLUMBIA (WACH)--Can you hear me now? Thanks to several mobile upgrades, the popular phrase will not be a problem for AT&T customers.
The cell phone carrier has boosted it's mobile broadband network to give Columbia customers and surrounding areas better service.
Last month AT&T added more cell sites to support more traffic and coverage.
It also launched new mobile broadband sites in five counties across the state.
"These network upgrades allow us to provide our mobile broadband customers with more of the voice, messaging and internet capabilities they want in more of South Carolina, " said Laurent Therivel, AT&T's vice president and general manager of Mobility and Consumer Markets in the Carolinas.
Therivel says customers are using to their phones to connect with family and friends more than ever and they want to make it easy.
"Whether it's taking photos or recording video, chatting or texting, surfing the web or navigating a new city, our customers are turning to their mobile devisces to organize and enjoy their lives. AT&T's networkk is making it possible."
