SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) -- Spartanburg County sheriff's deputies have obtained warrants charging a Greer man with killing his wife and brother-in-law and wounding his sister-in-law.

Master Deputy Craig Bradley says warrants charge 69-year-old Jefferson Perry with attempted murder and two counts of murder.

Sheriff Chuck Wright says Perry is accused of killing Barbara Perry on Sunday afternoon at their home. Wright says Jefferson Perry then walked across the street and killed Donald Stephens and shot his wife, Gloria Stephens.

Authorities said Perry led deputies on a chase on Interstate I-85 at speeds over 100 mph.

The chase ended in Cherokee County, where officers bumped Perry's car off the road. Wright says deputies shot Perry after he pointed a gun at authorities.

Perry was flown to a hospital for treatment.
