KERSHAW COUNTY (WACH)-- Kershaw County Sheriff Jim Matthews says deputies are investigating an apparent murder-suicide, after finding two people dead inside a home at 947 Wateree Boulevard.

The coroner has identified the deceased as 47-year-old Nancy Stone and 44-year-old Reginald Stone.

Sheriff Matthews says it appears Reginald Stone shot Nancy Stone, and then himself.

According to Matthews, the two were married but separated. Investigators say Reginald Stone delivered a letter to his sister stating he was going to kill his estranged wife and then himself.

Sheriff Matthews says the sister called 911, but it was too late. When a deputy responded to the house, he found the two dead inside.

"This is yet another case of criminal domestic violence in which a woman is killed," said Sheriff Matthews. "Sadly, the female victim had a 14-year-old daughter, who is now without a mother."
