CLOVER, S.C. (AP) -- No charges will be filed against 13 members of the Clover High School football team following a hazing investigation.

Prosecutor Kevin Brackett told reporters Thursday there was an incident at the school Sept. 19 in the locker room, but nothing as serious as the rumors that spread across the community in the following weeks.

Brackett says there was nothing more than what he called a "bunch of locker room horse play."

He says the victim lost his credibility with investigators.

Brackett says there were two other hazing incidents, but those victims would not press charges.

Sheriff Bruce Bryant says there was no malice or "evil intent" in the locker room.

The school last month suspended the players from the team and school after the hazing allegations were reported.
