COLUMBIA (WACH) -- Officials in Columbia are looking for a suspect wanted for a purse snatching using a gun at a Midlands Walmart.
The Columbia Police Department says they were called to the Garners Ferry Road store after the female victim says she was held at gunpoint.
The 41-year-old woman says the suspect tried to steal her purse through the open window while she was putting groceries in the trunk of her car.
The woman put up a fight. That's when the suspect pointed a handgun at her, she gave-in and watched the man get away with her purse.
No injuries were reported.
Police say the man is described as a black male standing around 6 feet tall, weighing approximately 160 pounds. He was wearing a white t-shirt with black sleeves and white tennis shoes. He was seen getting away in a dark, four-door car with a sunroof and broken tail light.
A second suspect was seen driving the vehicle.
