COLUMBIA (WACH) -- What can you say about the behavior of a dog named after Willie Nelson?  “Chill.”  In a word, that sums up the personality of this week's Pawmetto Lifeline guest on Dog WACH.

Nelson is a year old young male dog, who is house broken, neutered, micro chipped, and ready to be a part of your family.  When Nelson arrived in the studio, he promptly sat down and offered a paw, as any well behaved gentledog should.

According to Natasha Drozdak, Nelson was rescued from a local shelter about 2 weeks ago, and has had all his shots and full a medical check-up.  He is a retriever mix, possibly with welsh corgi.

Nelson, as well as many of the dogs from Pawmetto will be making an appearance at the Harbison Pet Smart Saturday morning from 10:30-4:30, and can be adopted on the spot.

Dogs available for adoption from the Pawmetto Lifeline are in good heath, are spayed or neutered, are up to date on all shots, and micro chipped.  The adoption fee is $150.00, which covers the services.

For more information on the Pawmetto Lifeline, which is a no kill shelter, log onto their WEBSITE.

Each Friday morning, Good Day Columbia features a very special dog hoping to their forever home with you on the Dog WACH.

UPDATE: Natasha Drozdak told WACH-Fox that Friday afternoon, after Nelson's appearance on Good Day Columbia, that he found his forever home.  She also said there are many other dogs and cats that are at the Pawmetto Lifeline waiting for their new families.
